CABLE Big Idea 3-day Virtual Workshop April 7-9, 2021
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO) hosted its first workshop on Conductivity-enhanced materials for Affordable, Breakthrough, Leapfrog Electric and thermal applications (CABLE) materials and applications. The ability to engineer materials with enhanced conductivity is an enabling technology for a broad range of innovations. This workshop covered different classes of conductivity-enhanced materials and key application-specific characteristics that together have the potential to enable U.S. manufacturing to leapfrog its international competitors.
